Privacy Policy

Last Updated: December 9th, 2011

Hey, we’re all concerned about our privacy these days, and you have a right to know what we know about you!

I can tell you that we don’t know much! All of the information we collect from you when you visit our site is common stuff that almost every website on the internet does – nothing that we’d ever use to identify you personally. We use an analytics program from everyone’s favorite search provider (you know the one!) One way we use this information is to examine how many people are looking at the site and where in the world they’re from so that I can design content that appeals to those groups. I also look at stuff like browser usage screen resolution so I can design the site to suit peoples needs best! If we do share this information with third parties it’s all aggregate info – nothing personally identifiable! (Stuff like how many people visited in the last month) See? Not so scary..

Also, I should mention that we like to link to other sites, and while we’ve linked to them because at the time we linked to them they seemed ok, we can’t be held responsible for any content on their site, and don’t necessarily condone anything found on them.

With regard to the comment form requiring you to enter your email address – this is a requirement to prevent spam on this site. I will never sell these email addresses, nor spam you. One day, if people seem interested in it, I might put together a monthly newsletter which I would initially populate with addresses from people who have engaged on the site, but if I ever did that there would be a clear and easy opt-out option (believe me.. I get tons of spam every day and have no intention of becoming what I hate!)

One final thing – this policy is subject to change as my needs do.

Here’s a word from one of our advertisers that sums up what I’m trying to say:

We use third-party advertising companies to serve ads when you visit our website. These companies may use information (not including your name, address, email address, or telephone number) about your visits to this and other websites in order to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to you.
